Righteousness is something that God desires form His People. He expects His Creation would remain Righteous in all their ways. We find amazing promises following the Righteous. There are lots of Scriptural references that speaks about numerous blessings to them that are Righteous and Upright. Let us look into a few insights as to what the Word states about being Righteous. Being righteous and upright in the sight of God follows number of blessings.
There is always lots of comparision between the Righteous and Wicked.
1. Proverbs 10:3 says, "The Lord will not allow the righteous soul to famish." This is a powerful promise. He will not let the righteous suffer. Every provision is catered for to the righteous.
2. Proverbs 10:6, Blessings:
The Word promises us Blessings to the righteous. Every individual needs blessings. They strive various methods to receive blessings. We need to understand that the standards of the world that look at blessings is entirely different the way God looks at. I am sure that God likes and loves Righteousness. There is a special release of abundant blessings to those who work towards righteousness.
3. Proverbs 10:7, Memory:
The memory of the righteous is blessed. Memory is something related to our mind. Memory is very important for every individual. It is developed according to our thinking ability as we grow and develop. It is a very vital quality without which we will not be able to progress in our lives. Right from a child to the eldest memory is required. The Bible says that the memory of the righteous is blessed.
4. Proverbs 10:11, Mouth:
The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life. When the righteous speak there is a blessing released through their mouth. The Word says whatever we bless is blessed and whatever we curse is cursed. That is the power that is granted to a righteous man.
Similarly, as we read down the Scriptures there are wonderful blessings that follow a righteous individual.
We need to understand that Righteousness is not earned but granted according to the Grace of God.
