Matthew 16:13-16

13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, "Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?" 14 So they said, "Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets." 15 He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" 16 Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."

Vs 13 Jesus asked the question, “Who do men say that I am?”

Vs 14 Some have said He was a liar

Some have said He was a lunatic

Some have said He was a looser

Some have said He was lawless

Vs 15 But who do you say that I am?

1. I believe Jesus is the Lily of the Valley Song of Solomon 2:1

“I am the Rose of Sharon and the Lily of the valleys.”

2. I believe Jesus is our Life Giver! John 10:10

The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give life in all its fullness.

For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will. John 5:21

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6

3. I believe Jesus is our Leader! Matthew 9:9

And He said to him, "Follow Me." So he arose and followed Him.

"Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. Mark 8:34

He gives life to the lifeless, hope to the hopeless and help to the helpless.

4. Jesus is my Lifter! James 4:10

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. Psalm 3:3

5. I believe Jesus is the Light of the World! John 8:12

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."

As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world." John 9:5

6. I know Jesus is the Lamb of God! John 1:29

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

saying with a loud voice: "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain To receive power and riches and wisdom, And strength and honor and glory and blessing!" Revelation 5:12

7. I believe Jesus is the Lover of my soul! Romans 5:8

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

I see Jesus as the Lion of Judah! I believe Jesus is the leper cleanser! I believe Jesus is the one who causes the lame to leap! I know He is the living one!

I see Jesus as the loaf multiplier.

He is the one who proclaims liberty.

He listens and he leads.

He is longsuffering and altogether lovely!

He is limitless in His supply and is the loftiest idea in literature.

He is the First and the Last.

He is the Lion of Judah and the Lamb of God.

He is the Light of the World and the lover of my soul! He laid down his life for all and

8. I believe Jesus is Lord!

Lord of heaven and Lord of earth

Lord over pain and sickness (I am the Lord God that heals you)

Lord over disease and death

Lord over circumstances and situations

Lord over the just and the unjust

Lord over finances and families

He is the same Lord yesterday today and tomorrow

He is the Lord of peace and prosperity

He is the Lord of joy and happiness

He is the Lord forever

He is the Lord of all lords

Revelation 17:14

These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords…

9. He is the Christ the son of the Living God. Matthew 16:16

Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."

He is the first and the last

The Beginning and the end

He is the keeper of Creation and the creator of all!

He is the architect of the universe and the Manager of all time.

He always was, He always is and He will always be. Unmoved, Unchanged, Undefeated and never undone
