Title: The Power Of God's Right Hand

Text: Psalms 138:7 (NLT) "Though I am surrounded by troubles, you will protect me from the anger of my enemies. You reach out your hand, and the power of your right hand saves me."

Introduction

Ladies and Gentlemen, beloved brothers and sisters, I come before you today with a message of undeniable hope and unwavering faith. Psalms 138:7 is a proclamation of divine protection and an assurance of God's mighty hand in the midst of our darkest hours.

As we journey through life, there will be moments when we find ourselves surrounded by troubles. Our hearts may feel heavy, and the path ahead may seem insurmountable. Yet, it is precisely in these moments of profound despair that we are called to remember the promises of our Almighty God.

Acknowledging Troubles

The psalmist begins with an honest admission: "Though I am surrounded by troubles..." He does not deny the existence of difficulties. Instead, he acknowledges them, for troubles are an inevitable part of the human experience. But take heart! For the psalmist continues with a resounding truth: "...you will protect me from the anger of my enemies."

This is a declaration of divine intervention. When we are besieged by adversities, God stands as our shield and our refuge. He is the one who guards our hearts and minds, who shelters us under His wings. No enemy, no trial, no storm can diminish the power of His protection.

Supporting Scriptures:

1. Isaiah 41:10 (NIV): "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." This verse resonates with the assurance of God's protection and His ever-present help in times of trouble.

2. Romans 8:31 (NIV): "What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?" Paul's words remind us that with God's protection, no enemy can stand against us.

3. Psalm 91:4 (NIV): "He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart." This scripture beautifully illustrates God's protective nature, sheltering us from all harm.

II. The Saving Power of God's Right Hand

"You reach out your hand, and the power of your right hand saves me." Picture, if you will, the mighty hand of God stretching out towards you. It is a hand that never fails, a hand that is strong and unwavering.

This is not just a passive gesture but a powerful act of salvation. His right hand, symbolic of His ultimate authority and strength, is actively working in your favor.

III. Jesus: The Power of God's Right Hand**

The power of God's right hand is embodied in Jesus Christ. According to **Matthew 6:19, Jesus is the power of God's right hand, and He is our unfailing protection in times of trouble.
