THE PARABLE OF THE TALENTS
Matthew 25:14-30
Key Verse and Theme: “And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” (Matthew 25:30)
1. What do the talents in the parable represent?
A. The talents might represent money.
B. The talents might represent abilities.
C. The talents represent all the resources God has given us. (Romans 12:3-8)
2. Why were two servants rewarded?
A. The servants put their talents to work.
B. The servants recognized the owner of the talents.
C. The servants brought an increase to the master.
3. Why was one servant punished?
A. The servant hid his talent.
B. The servant did not do what was expected. (Matthew 25:27)
C. The servant did not create an increase.
4. What should we do with this parable?
A. We need to recognize our resources.
B. We need to work with what we have.
