The Negative Keeps Me From My Promise?

AM I MAKING THE CHOICE TO GO CAMPING NEXT TO THE PROMISE?

Trappped by the negative?

Have you heard about the negative man that went SKYDIVING?

The instructions were simple:

1. Jump out of the plane when we tell you. 2. Count to 10, Pull the rip cord. 3. If that fails

pull the EMERGENCY RIP CORD. 4. The truck will be waiting for you on the ground.

So the man jumps when they told him. He counts to 10 and pulls the cord and it does not work.

He pulls the BACK UP cord and it fails...

THE MAN THEN SAYS: WITH MY LUCK THE TRUCK WILL NOT EVEN BE THERE TO PICK

ME UP...

I. BIBLICALLY SPEAKING THERE IS A DIRECT CORRELATION TO THE BRAIN AND TO

THE MOUTH AND TO HOW YOU FEEL...

A. CAN WE FORGET THE POWER OF OUR THINKING AND THE POWER OF THE TONGUE?

CORRELATION: CONNECTION, relationship existing, the state or relation of being... kinship, attachment

Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

B. There is a correlation between smoking and lung cancer?

Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his

heart is not with thee.

Matthew 12:34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the

abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and

an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance

of the heart his mouth speaketh.

C. WE ARE IN GOD'S IMAGE... WHY SHOULD WE NOT SAKE OUR CLAIM TO BE MORE LIKE

JESUS?

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have

dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth,

and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. [27] So God created man in his own image,

in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

D. WE HAVE JUST STUDIED 50 PROMISES OF GOD...

It might be easy to know we are in God's image and act like the devil...

WHY SHOULD WE CAMP OUT NEAR THE PROMISES OF GOD...

WHY NOT MOVE INTO THE PROMISE LAND...

II. WHAT ARE WE AS GOD'S PEOPLE PROJECTING? WHAT DO YOU WANT TO HEAR?

THERE ARE 2 MILLION PEOPLE CAMPED ON THE EDGE OF RECEIVING GOD'S PLANS

AND STEPPING INTO GOD'S PROMISES...

THEIR LISTENING AND THINKING MESSED THEM UP!

A. PROJECT: a plan, design in the mind,

Never under-estimate the power of the negative tongue...

B. Out of 12 men, seems the majority will SPEAK NEGATIVE... 10 to 2...

C. SEEMS THE CROWD WILL LISTEN TO THE 10 NEGATIVE and ignore the 2 THAT SAY:

LET'S GO...

Numbers 13:30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and

possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.

D. PEOPLE WILL LISTEN TO WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR...

Numbers 13:31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people;

for they are stronger than we.

[32] And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel,

saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof;

and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.

[33] And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own

sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

E. WHY DO WE ALLOW OR GIVE OTHER PEOPLE PERMISSION TO MESS UP GOD'S

PLAN AND PURPOSE AND ESTABLISH DARK THINKING PATTERNS?

III. HABITUALLY FOCUSING ON THE NEGATIVE?

CONSIDER THE COMPUTER? WHAT KIND OF SOFT-WARE DO WE INSTALL? CONSIDER

A COMPUTER VIRUS... THE COMPUTER CAN BE A GOOD, HIGH SPEED MACHINE BUT A VIRUS

CAN SLOW IT DOWN, CONTAMINATE AND CRASH THE WHOLE SYSTEM...

CALEB AND JOSHUA HAD RE-PROGRAMMED THEIR THINKING PROCESS...

A. 2 MILLION PEOPLE HAD SEEN MIRACLE AFTER MIRACLE...

They had seen the 10 plagues? The had walked on DRY-GROUND through the Red Sea?

They saw the #1 ARMY of the world destroyed? YET THEIR MIND'S WERE PROGRAMMED TO

FOCUS OF THE NEGATIVE...
