The Necessity For Brotherhood
Contributed by Carl Allen on Aug 3, 2005 (message contributor)
Summary: As Christian men, we need to surround ourselves with other God fearing men that will keep us accountabile and lifted up. If we cannot be there for our brother in Christ, then how will we be there for God when He calls.
The Necessity for Christian Brotherhood
2 Timothy 4:2
*When you think about Timothy, what comes to mind?
-Student of Paul
-Disciplined in the Word
-Servant
-Preacher
-Obedient
*Where would Timothy be, if he had not been in the company of his Christian Brother Paul?
*Fellowship in the Brotherhood, is a necessity for Godly men to grow.
-Mere eating and fellowshipping, doesn’t cut the mustard.
-Billy Graham was and is a Great Christian leader, because he surrounds himself with a
strong brotherhood for accountability and encouragement.
*Mind Picture = In football, the home team doesn’t stand a chance in scoring, if they
only send out the quarterback to play. The quarterback, needs his
support system.
