Summary: There are four moral lessons in Abraham’s life that can make us a pattern for living.
There are Four Moral Lessons in Abraham’s life
1. Abraham is a devoted person (vs.1-4)
-In Egypt/Bethel Abraham continuously worshiping God in his altar.
2. Abraham is a peace-maker person (vs.5-8a)
-Let there be no strife between the herdsmen that would soon an issue for strife between their masters.
-Read Fil. 2:2-3
3. Abraham is unselfish person (v.9)
-He is most concern for the best of his nephew.
-The watch word of the peace loving and yielding temper, this is necessary for their separation. (Fil. 2:4)
4. Abraham is a humble person
-He said "we are brethren", he humbled himself
-He did not took advantage his priority as an uncle or oldest between him and lot.
-He chooses the unproductive land that needed to cultivate and give way for Lot’s choice.
