THE MIRROR EFFECT? WHERE THERE IS NO JOY STRIFE THRIVES!

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

*JOY IS A CHOICE. TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO HAVE A GOOD DAY!

DEFINE:

*JOY: Joy is a gift of God to His people. Gladness, A SENSE OF WELL BEING. God desires us to live daily in joy. Joy sees these difficult seasons with gratitude and blessings, regardless of the storms and circumstances we have the potential of joy. Joy works in trials and difficulties, sense of well being, feeling of great pleasure, happiness. You can have joy when other emotions are playing games in your mind. Joy works when fear, anger, sadness and unhappiness tries to crush. Joy brings peace and contentment in hard seasons.

Psalm 30:11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

*HAPPY: Happiness is when we feel good, to be happy is temporary at best. Happiness is not natural in dark, difficult seasons.

*JOY EXPRESSES IT SELF IN SEVERAL WAYS: 1. EMOTIONS; 2. CHOICE OF ATTITUDES; 3. A SPIRITUAL GIFT, A FRUIT.

WHAT STEALS OUR JOY?

We are so busy and involved with activities that we tend to forget our spiritual blessings. We tend to want to quit and fail.

WE FORGET TO WAIT ON THE LORD! PATIENCE.

Isaiah 40:29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

ITS OK, LORD--- I TRUST YOU! WE GET KNOCKED DOWN AND IN OUR BUSYNESS WE LOSE SIGHT OF THE GOAL.

Mark 6:31 And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

GOD’S DESIGN IS BASED ON FFULLNESS. DO WE UNDERSTAND WHERE THE OIL RUNS LOW THE FRICTION INCREASES?

WE NEED JOY TO BE FULL AND TO REMAIN IN OUR DAILY LIFE.

John 15:11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

WE OFTEN BLAME OTHERS FOR THE LACK OF JOY, BUT JOY IS THE INDIVIDUAL’S RESPONSIBILITY.

John 16:20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.

John 16:22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

JOY IS A DIVINE WORK THAT COMES IN STAYING CLOSE TO GOD’S HEART.

Acts 13:52 And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost.

WE MUST ACKNOWLEDGE THERE COMES TEAM WORK WITH JOY. JOY AND HOPE WORK TOGETHER.

James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

WE MUST UNDERSTAND THE LAW OF SOWING AND REAPING…

Psalm 126:5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. 6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

Psalm 30:5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

RESTORATION--- to bring back, reinstate, return, repair, to give back.

Psalm 51:12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

WE CAN WEAR RAGS OF COMPLAINING, MURMURING, GRIPING AND FAULT-FINDING IS WE SO DESIRE. GOD HAS A BETTER IDEA! WHEN LIFE GETS HEAVY THERE IS ANOTHER OUT FIT TO WEAR… WEAR PRAISE AND JOY!

Isaiah 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

THERE HAS BEEN MANY TEARS OF HURT AND SADNESS. THE PEOPLE HAVE NOT OBEYED THE WORD OF THE LORD… THE PREACHER STEPS TO THE PULPIT AND SAYS: QUIT CRYING RIGHT NOT… THE JOY OF THE LORD CONQUERS ALL.

Nehemiah 8:10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.
