Summary: Spiritual gifts are manifestations of the Holy Spirit. These gifts belong to the church and are supernatural manifestations of the Holy Spirit and are manifest through Spirit-filled believers. These manifestations are visible expressions of the Holy Sp
The gift of faith is a gift of the Spirit to the believer in order that they might believe God for mighty miracles working through them to touch the lives of others.
The manifestation of faith is a special, supernatural endowment by the Holy Spirit that enables a person to operate in an extraordinary demonstration of the power of God.
The manifestation gift of faith is different than saving faith. It is a sudden surge of faith to confidently believe God for a miracle to be released supernaturally in a crisis situation.
It is miraculous assurance which comes in times of extreme need. It is supernatural faith from God for extraordinary accomplishments for a given purpose.
It was supernatural faith that was manifested when Jesus spoke and:
* leprosy was cleansed
* the raging sea was calmed
* the blind were healed
* demons were cast out
* the dead were raised
* etc.
There are also many examples of this supernatural faith in the ministry of the apostles as told in the book of Acts.
Like all nine gifts, this gift is to encourage the church to conduct itself in faith, courage, love, and good works.
The gift of faith is not for personal promotion but is intended for the edification, exhortation, and comforting others. We should encourage faith to function in the church and we should never allow ourselves to stand in God's way regarding this gift.
