B.) But Paul also realized that to be truly effective he needed the ministry from house to house.

ba.) Paul knew that he needed that personal contact to be fully effective for Christ.

bb.) Certainly this is an important aspect of successful ministry, and one which I have felt personal frustration in having to divide my time with a second job.

2.) His ministry had been one of continual outreach.

A.) He was not satisfied with just holding services.

B.) His strategy was based on the Great commission.

ba.) Matt. 28:18-20

3.) His public preaching centered on salvation.

A.) His personal outreach took him into homes.

B.) He humbly presented the love of Christ to sinners.

III. PAUL HAD TOTAL VISION.

-- Verse 21

1.) “Testifying both to Jews, and also to the Greeks.”

A.) Paul saw every person he met as a candidate for heaven.

aa.) Paul did his best to tell both Jew and Greek of their need for salvation.

ab.) He preached to both groups that they must turn to God in repentance, and have faith in Christ Jesus.

B.) Every contact he made was an opportunity to share the gospel.

ba.) Now as Paul was saying his good- byes to these men, he was trying to pass on this same vision to them.

2.) Paul’s passion for souls allowed him no prejudice.

A.) He saw all people as lost and in need of Christ.

aa.) Each one of us who know Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour need that same vision and love for the lost.

ab.) We need to be not just offended by the sin, but to have love for the sinner.

B.) He gave the good news of salvation to all.

ba.) We also need to give the good news to the lost.

3.) He wanted to be free from the blood of all people.

--Verse 26

CONCLUSION:

1.) Paul’s vision included training leaders.

2. These elders were charged to carry out Paul’s vision.

3.) May God give us Acts 20:20 vision every day.
