Summary: Message 21 in our exposition of Revelation considering the last trumpet and interlude of chapter 11-12.

Here is a brief reference to the birth, destiny and ascension of Jesus. The earthly ministry of Christ is viewed with one grand sweep. Born to rule caught up to the throne.

The pursuit of the woman by the dragon

Then the woman fled into the wilderness where she had a place prepared by God, so that there she would be nourished for one thousand two hundred and sixty days. Revelation 12:6

God was not done with Israel and so neither was Satan. His persecution continued and has continued up until this very day. Only the Bible can explain the intense hatred directed at Israel and the Jews. It appears that in the final days this hatred will be at its greatest intensity.

They will become a world target. The antichrist will lead the assault on Jews around the world.

As in times past, it will become necessary for God to supernaturally protect a remnant of His people to avoid complete annihilation.

Next week we will learn more of the behind the scenes activity as we are informed of a great angelic war waged in the celestial realms, in the spirit world.

Who will win? Will Satan be able to gain victory over Michael?

We are often ignorant of the battle raging in that realm that influences the events in this.

LESSONS

• Israel is still God’s special people, so continue to bless her.

And I will make you(Abraham) a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and so you shall be a blessing; 3 and I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed. Genesis 12:2-3

• The root cause of evil stems from the activity of the evil one, so continue to battle him.

Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12

SO

Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 13 Take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Ephesians 6:10,11,13

Later in Revelation we will learn the key elements necessary to overcome his assault.
