Summary: At the beginning put yourself all alone at night... Powerful message. Helped, and saved many.

The rich farmer had his future all planned out. What he didn’t know was that his future would last only a few more minutes.

He had given lots of thought to farming, making money, and having a good time; but he hadn’t made any preparations for death.

Again, #2. Gass may come sooner than you think.

3. Death will take you to one of two locations—heaven or hell.

Matthew 7:13-14NLT “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. 14 But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.

This farmer in Luke 12, wasn’t ready to die. This farmer assumed that he had many years left to live. But he was wrong.

And like that farmer, you and I have no guarantee that we will live a certain number of years.

Think about it. All your (my) fears and anxieties about death end up in the most beautiful and joyous place you could ever imagine.

Colossians 1:5NKJV “because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel,”

Once you've resolved that, what do you have to be afraid of ever again? All your fears, all your anxieties, end up in the happy place/ heaven. -And heaven gets sweeter!

4. Death has been defeated by Jesus Christ through His death and resurrection.

Hebrews 2:14-15TPT Since all his “children” have flesh and blood, so Jesus became human to fully identify with us. He did this, so that he could experience death and annihilate the effects of the intimidating accuser who holds against us the power of death. 15 By embracing death Jesus sets free those who live their entire lives in bondage to the tormenting dread of death.

I want you to do something, close your eyes, I want you to begin thinking about the end of your life, because the end is only the beginning! P.H

Again, #4 Death has been defeated!

5. Death can be seen as better than life to those who put there faith in Jesus.

The story is told of two Christians who lived very healthy lives. When they died, they went to heaven. As they walked along, marveling at the paradise around them, one of the men turned to the other and said, “Wow. I never imagine heaven would be this good!” “Yeah,” agreed the other. “And just think, if we hadn’t eaten all that oat bran we could have been here ten years sooner.”

John 11:25-26NKJV Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

Here’s the truth for every follower of Jesus. All your fears and anxieties end up in the most beautiful and joyous place you could ever imagine.

Once you've resolved that, what do you have to be afraid of ever again? Look to the end. Look to heaven. And live a life of obedience, that is beyond fear. For the truth of the matter is, for a child of God, the worst case scenario….is heaven!

When Paul was in prison, he knew he was going to die. But it was going to be a triumphant death.
