The Great Falling Away
Scripture
1Tm:4:1: Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times
some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and
doctrines of devils;
1Tm:4:2: Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with
a hot iron;
1Tm:4:3: Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats,
which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which
believe and know the truth.
Introduction
A great falling Is taking place today That was warned about 2000 years
ago when the 1st century Was still outlining what it truly means to be
a believer in Jesus. Those that fall away are evident that they never
had a true conversion in the first place. We are to pay close attention
to the times we are living in and stay away from false doctrine. If you
are babtised in The Spirit of truth ( The Holy Ghost ) You will have the
discernment to know the diffrence in truth and doctrine of demons.
Sermon
I) Giving heed to seducing spirits
What are seducing Spirits?
Seducing in the greek is plan'-os and is defined of uncertain affinity;
roving (as a tramp), i.e. (by implication) an impostor or misleader; --deceiver,
seducing.
Any spirit that is not defined as given by God in 2 timothy 1:7 WHICH are power,
love, and sound mind are decieving spirits.
II) Doctrines of devils
What are the doctrines of devils?
Doctrine in the greek is did-as-kal-ee'-ah and is defined instruction (the function
or the information):--doctrine, learning, teaching.
Doctrine is what we believe. Doctrine varies But there is only one true doctrine.
And that is all of Gods word. true doctrine is established as Gods word without
taking away or adding to the word of God.
III) Speaking lies in hypocrisy
What Is Hypocrisy?
Hypocrisy in the greek language is hoop-ok'-ree-sis and is defined as acting under
a feigned part, i.e. (figuratively) deceit ("hypocrisy"):--condemnation, dissimulation,
hypocrisy.
In the gospels Jesus told us usually speaking to the religious leaders of the day,
the pharisees that preached the right doctrine but lived contrary to their teachings.
In other words they would teach "do as i say, not as i do" doctrine. Jesus said this:
Matthew:5:21-22 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill;
and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
22: But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause
shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca,
shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger
of hell fire.
A Hypocrite will preach not to kill and hate certain people and it says in (This is going
to put shock in you) 1John 3:15: Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know
that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
By Hating our brother we violate both the great commandments Jesus gave Which are in
Luke 10:27: And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour
as thyself.
There is a whole lot of hating going on in the world and sadly alot of it is in the Church
Today.
There is hate due to race
There is hate due to back ground
There is hate due to sex
IV) having their conscience seared with
a hot iron;
Story
in The old days they would cut off bulls horns but today thay use a red hot iron.
If the bulls head isn't held in a device that keeps them still you have a fight on
your hands. But Using this technique the red hot iron causes pain at first but after
a few seconds it deadens the nerves and the pain stops.
When a persons conscience is seared with a hot iron the spirit is deadened and
when the Holy Ghost trys and trys to warn you to repent the person starts to feel
comfortable In their sins and nolonger repents and after a while of grieving
The Holy Ghost, He leaves and the person becomes reprobate.
Ro:1:28: And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave
them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
in The greek Reprobate is ad-ok'-ee-mos and is defined unapproved, i.e. rejected;
by implication, worthless (literally or morally):--castaway, rejected, reprobate.
If you are living in sin and no longer feel conviction in your heart to repent
you are reprobate. God eventually says "ok so this is what you want more than
obeying me? Then you can have it". This is very dangerous. If you nolonger feel guilty
