The God Of More Than Enough

Many have spoken this is a year for increase, a year for more -- 2004 a year for more! It has been spoken over my life, and I believe it. There are five months left in this year. What do those five months have in store for you? Think big. Enlarge your vision. God can do more during those five months than we could dream up in a whole lifetime. God is a big God. God has a thousand ways to solve your problem. He knew how to create this earth where we dwell, every star, constellations, all the inhabitants of the earth, every tree, every mountain, and every body of water -- was His creation. He knows how to accomplish His plan and purpose for our lives. He knows His business. Did you ever hear someone say, mind your own business? Maybe someone told you that before. Sometimes, I think God might be saying to His people, Hey -- mind your own business and let me take care of my business!

Our business is to trust and obey and be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit - and to expect God to do what the bible says. God’s job is to fulfill His plan and purpose for our lives. He knows exactly what He is doing. Do you know what you are doing? Have you trusted Him completely? Have you been obedient to the assignments He has given you?

This is a year for more salvations, more healings, more miracles; it’s a year for increase. I am believing, as the Apostle Paul prayed, to be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; (Col. 1:9) One translation says: to be filled with the full (deep and clear) knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom [in comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God] … Another translation says it like this: …to give you wise minds and spirits attuned to his will, and so acquire a thorough understanding of the ways in which God works.

You will be filled with the knowledge of His will as you earnestly seek Him. This is the year to receive what God has promised in abundance. Think of God’s blessings being measured in inches or feet. If you can think of about "6 inches" worth of blessings, He will pour out the blessings beyond the 6 inches worth that you imagine -- He has promised to do exceeding abundantly above all you ask or think. But, if you stretch your faith and think of a six foot blessing -- His Word promises, Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. (Eph. 3:20)

This is the year for more. This is the year for abundance. This is the time to receive exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think. If we can think of it, he will outdo it. His Word says so. And, God cannot lie.

Think about the goodness of God this week. Think about His mercy and grace. Think about how big He is and enlarge your vision. Ask God to do something you need or desire -- and He will do exceeding abundantly more than you ask. 2004 is the year for more. I believe it. I’m expecting it. And, it is occurring as we step out in faith and take Him at His Word.
