The Day Before Jesus Came.

The Day before JESUS came to Earth!

( Just as He came then, He will come AGAIN! )

1. Some were LOOKING for HIM.

a. Simeon..luke 2:25-32...in jerusalem, in church for us...,holy ghost on him, in us now...

b. Anna..luke 2:36-38...she was looking while she served Him..., widow for 84yrs...

c. Mary...luke 2:6-7, & luke 1:31-35...looking for His promise,His person...

d. Wise Men...matt. 2:1-2...looking for a leader,a light, a love of Him...

2. Some were LABORING for HIM.

a. Shepherds in the fields...luke 2:8...abiding there in the "fields", the world for us...,keeping watch is alert and armed for the enemy...made known is their testimony to others...

b. Servants in the Temple..luke 1:5-9...the priest there, for us the pastors and their Helps, those who were praying for the temple and the church for us...the Lord used those who were faithful to Him...

c. Speakers in Training...luke 1:80..john the baptist...psalms 78:4-8....timothy’s mom and grandmother.....you and your childrens bible training...

3. Some were LACKING HIM. ( without )

a. Faith in their Situations...Mary’s virgin conception as related to the peoples’ view...matt. 1:19..joseph’s marriatal thoughts...luke 1:..zachariah’s vision and promise of a child...

b. Facts of the Scriptures...luke 1:70,77...where He would be born...is.7:14..the virgin birth and name of the child...heb. 10:7 the volume of the book...

c. Forgiveness of Sins...still under the Law...those who were Gentiles outside Israel...yearly sacrifices...

4. Some were LISTENING to HIM.

a. In their Directions...matt 1:18-20...marriage relationships... luke 1:7-8...zacharias’ job in the temple like our function in the church body...

b. In their Dwellings..(homes)...matt. 1:18..christian marriages from the beginning...matt. 1:24-25..they made a Home together and not just a house...

c. To the Drawing of God. john 6:44...a star for the wise men, a voice for the shepherds, a dream for joseph......the holy spirit for us today thru the gospel...

The day before Jesus came there were people LOOKING for HIM, they were LABORING for Him, some were LACKING Him in their lives, but there were some LISTENING to HIM. Is HE dealing with you TODAY!!!
