THE DAGGER OF THE KISS...

WE WILL ALL FACE THE DAGGER OF REAL LIFE ---

I have a large knife that I use as I walk through this lesson.

Several times in the Bible a person uses a hidden dagger to kill.

INTRODUCTION: APRIL, 2015 NEWS ----

MY MOTHER IN LAW KILLED ME? AND SHE WAS DEAD FOR YEARS?

A Pennsylvania man who died after his mother-in-law's tombstone fell on him will be buried

right by her grave. 74-year-old Stephen Woytack was kneeling beside his mother-in-law's

headstone with his wife on the other side on Easter. They were tying a religious ornament

to the stone, as they do every year, when it fell on Woytack and killed him.

His wife says she immediately ran to Ed Kubilus, a caretaker at the cemetery, for help.

"Usually I come down and talk to them right away but I went up the other end to start

picking up the Christmas ornaments and she came running up, 'Help me, the stone fell

on Stephen!'"

Kubilus, who had seen the couple visit several times, says he tried to lift the 400-pound

stone but couldn't.

Seems that shifting gravestones can be an issue in the spring when the ground begins to

thaw out.Woytack's family says they plan to bury him right in front of the headstone that

killed him.

EFFECT IS BECAUSE IT IS HIDDEN...

A. THE DAGGER TO REAL, PURE AND UNDEFILED RELIGION IS EASY TO

IDENTIFY: LOVE ---

John 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

1 John 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath

eternal life abiding in him. 16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life

for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

B. THE LOVE TEST WILL REVEAL BY THE FIRE...

When others are bitter, hurt, disappointed --- A MUST ARISE...

C. There news this week recorded a sad story in Kenya.

As a matter of fact the news revealed another sad day in the history of VIOLENCE and

HATRED. The University of Kenya (GARISSA) terrorist in the NAME OF RELIGION demanded

all the MOSLEM STUDENTS to be separated from the CHRISTIANS. After the students were

separated into MOSLEM-ISLAM and CHRISTIAN the motive was revealed. The Moslem students

were sent home.

153 Christian students were killed and 79 were wounded.

II. EASTER! What a wonder story--- from a babe in a manger to a 12 year old boy sitting

in the temple--- TO A FRIEND USING THE DAGGER OF A KISS TO SELL A FRIEND...

To THE OLD RUGGED CROSS--- to an EMPTY BORROWED GRAVE---

TO A RISEN SAVIOR...

A. Jesus knew about the DAGGER OF FALSEHOOD and the real DANGER of

WEARING MASKS and there theaters OF PRETENDING...

Matthew 10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as

serpents, and harmless as doves. 17 But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils,

and they will scourge you in their synagogues; 18 And ye shall be brought before governors and

kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.

B. THIS THEATER OF MASK AND PRETENDING WILL BE REVEAL BY FIRE.

III. WHAT WILL YOU GIVE ME? LOOKING FOR AN OPPORTUNITY?

I SIT AT THE COMMUNION TABLE, I EAT THE BREAD, I DRINK OF THE CUP...

I AM GOOD AT THROWING KISSES AROUND. WHY do I leave the communion table?

Matthew 26:15 And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And

they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.

16 And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.

A. I SURE LOOK LIKE A SHEEP?

I am a church member? I give, but not my best? I make a good show?

My sacrifices are small? I have been baptized?

B. I do as I care to do! I build on I WANT TO BE HAPPY and feel good.

My mouth is full of deadly poison?

C. WHAT WILL MY KISS REVEAL?

NOT JUST WHAT DOES THE KISS REVEAL ABOUT ME?

BUT WHAT WILL OTHERS DO ABOUT MY KISS? BITTER VS BETTER.

IV. COME WITH ME TO A HIDDEN LESSON OF EASTER... THE DAGGERS OF THE KISS?

THE LESSON IS A SAD LESSON THAT CAN BE TERMINAL, DEADLY AND HEART BREAKING.

THE HIDDEN LESSON OF HURT AND BITTERNESS...

A. OUR ENEMY HAS MANY STRANGE, DESTRUCTIVE DESIGNS ---

WE SHALL CALL THESE THE DAGGERS OF OF REAL LIFE ---
