The Cross- the End Became the Beginning Genesis 1: 1-8NLT

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.

3 Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 And God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light "day" and the darkness "night." And evening passed and morning came, marking the first day.

6 Then God said, “Let there be a space between the waters, to separate the waters of the heavens from the waters of the earth.” 7 And that is what happened. God made this space to separate the waters of the earth from the waters of the heavens. 8 God called the space “sky.” And evening passed and morning came, marking the second day.

For you to really appreciate your salvation and everything that God has accomplished for you, I think it’s important to look back. From the beginning of creation verse 2 tells every believer that the Holy Spirit was hovering or brooding over the face of the deep. From the very beginning of time, the Holy Spirit was assigned to care, protect, comfort, and even bring wisdom into every situation.

When you go home today read for yourself the rest of the creation account. You will notice that everyday God unfolded another facet of His strategy.

*God never created anything that had a need before first creating the provision. It’s not as though God created schools of fish and then said, “Oops, I better create some water quick!”

When God created cattle the cattle didn’t wonder what they would eat, because God already created grass!

*Nugget one, don’t let this escape your attention. If you have a need (and who doesn’t), it’s only a sign there’s provision.

In other words, “If you have a problem, God already has a solution.”

Examples: 1 Corinthians 10:13NKJ No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

Hear this word, “If you fall into sin God already has a provision for you. As you grow stronger and overcome that particular sin, it’s because of God!”

Remember John 3:16NKJ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Listen to Genesis 1:27, God say’s, “let us make man in Our image.”

*Second nugget, the Trinity- God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost were on the scene from the very beginning!

There’s a song called, “He was there all the time.”

On the sixth day of creation, God stepped into the scene, scooped up some earth, and said, “Now, I’m going to start working on My beloved.”

Genesis 2:7NKJ And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

According to Genesis 1: 27 When God breathed into Adam’s nostrils; He breathed the very life (Zoe) of God into Adam, and he was made in the very image of God.

God created for Adam everything he needed- Eden. Therefore, He placed Adam in a controlled environment.

God sustained Eden, all Adam was asks to do was to live and partake from the tree of life. (Type of Christ.)

*Third nugget, all God desires from you is trust.

Psalm 37: 3-4NKJ Trust in the LORD, and do good;

Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.4 Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. (Many say they trust, but in what?)

Adam and Eve were told not to partake of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. This tree symbolized all moral knowledge, knowledge that only God’s power could sustain, and thus it was a forbidden fruit. (Shame and other deceit would enter.)

The tree of life, symbolized eternal life! Remember, our bodies were created to live forever. The sun that sustains planet earth doesn’t take a break; the earth doesn’t stop spinning on its axis.

Although satan, the devil (lier) comes, and say’s, “God doesn’t want you to partake from the tree of knowledge for when you eat, you will be just like God.” (Half truth.)

Say- “trust”- trust God!

*Fourth Nugget, God sent Jesus to sustain you and give you life. (His life- the God kind of life.) You’re never the same.

Jesus said in John 10:10AMP The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).
