THE CONNECTION BETWEEN FAVOUR AND DESTINY HELPERS
By Rev. Samuel Arimoro
Main Text: Esther 2:15-17
"Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king’s chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her. So Esther was taken unto king Ahasuerus into his house royal in the tenth month, which is the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign. And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti."

INTRODUCTION
Favour is a divine force that attracts help, promotion, and elevation beyond human efforts. It is the supernatural approval that opens doors that qualifications, wealth, or human connections cannot. When God's favour rests upon a person, destiny helpers are drawn to them, making ways where none seemed possible.
In the story of Esther, we see a young Jewish girl who, despite her background, was lifted to the position of queen because of divine favour. She did not strive in her own strength but obtained favour in the sight of all, including King Ahasuerus, which led to her elevation. This favour also positioned her to be a deliverer for her people.
Many people struggle in life because they lack the right destiny helpers, but destiny helpers are often connected to the release of divine favour. Favour influences the hearts of kings, decision-makers, and people of influence to act in ways that align with God's plan for an individual. Understanding and walking in God's favour is key to unlocking the help we need to fulfil our destinies.
1. FAVOUR ATTRACTS DESTINY HELPERS
Favour is like a magnet that draws the right people into our lives at the right time.
a) Favour makes you stand out – Divine favour distinguishes you and causes people to notice you for good (Daniel 1:9).
b) Favour influences people's hearts towards you – Even those who have no reason to help you will be moved to assist you (Exodus 3:21).
c) Favour bypasses natural qualifications – It lifts people beyond their credentials, just as Joseph was promoted in Egypt (Genesis 41:38-40).
d) Favour causes people to recommend you – Destiny helpers are often positioned by God to mention your name where it matters (1 Samuel 16:22).
e) Biblical Example: Ruth and Boaz – Ruth found favour in the sight of Boaz, which led to her restoration and marriage (Ruth 2:10-12).
2. DESTINY HELPERS ARE ORDAINED TO RESPOND TO FAVOUR
Destiny helpers often act under divine compulsion when God's favour is upon a person.
a) Favour moves people to act willingly – Hegai, the king’s servant, helped Esther because she found favour (Esther 2:9).
b) Favour makes authorities approve you – Esther did not need to struggle; the king’s heart was inclined towards her (Esther 2:17).
c) Favour breaks human limitations – When Nehemiah wanted to rebuild the walls, favour gave him access to the king’s resources (Nehemiah 2:4-8).
d) Favour connects you to divine opportunities – Some doors only open when divine favour is at work (Psalm 102:13).
e) Biblical Example: Joseph in Pharaoh’s Palace – Joseph found favour and was made a ruler overnight (Genesis 41:39-41).
3. HOW TO POSITION YOURSELF FOR DIVINE FAVOUR
Favour is not just a coincidence; it can be cultivated and activated.
a) Walk in righteousness – God’s favour surrounds the righteous like a shield (Psalm 5:12).
b) Be diligent and excellent – Favour often follows those who give their best (Proverbs 22:29).
c) Be humble and serve faithfully – Esther honoured Mordecai’s instructions, and it led her to favour (Esther 2:10, 15).
d) Maintain a lifestyle of prayer – Prayer activates supernatural favour (Luke 2:52).
e) Biblical Example: Daniel’s Favour in Babylon – Despite being a captive, Daniel's commitment to God positioned him for favour (Daniel 1:9).
4. OBSTACLES TO FAVOUR AND DESTINY HELPERS
Certain factors can hinder the flow of divine favour and delay the arrival of destiny helpers.
a) Pride and arrogance – Favour lifts the humble but resists the proud (James 4:6).
b) Disobedience to divine instructions – Saul lost favour because he disobeyed God (1 Samuel 15:22-23).
c) Lack of gratitude – Favour is sustained by a heart of thanksgiving (Luke 17:17-19).
d) Negative attitude and dishonour – Dishonouring people closes doors to divine connections (Esther 1:10-12).
e) Biblical Example: Vashti’s Downfall – She lost her position because she disrespected the king (Esther 1:19).
