There are certain conditions that go with an answered prayer. Though, prayers are answered according to the sovereignty of God, Himself. He does whatsoever He desires. Many of the promises of God are conditional, and when met adequately attracts a result from above. Some of the conditions are;

1. BE SPECIFIC

“Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done”. (Matthew 21:21)

2. HAVE THE FAITH OF GOD

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him”.(Hebrews 11:6)

3. BELIEVE THAT WHATEVER IS ASKED WILL BE GIVEN

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you” (Matthew 7:7)

4. REFUSE TO DOUBT IN YOUR HEART

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed” (James 1:5-6)

5. PRAY ALWAYS IN THE NAME OF JESUS

“ If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it”.(John 14:14)

6. PRAY ACCORDING TO HIS WILL

“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him” (1 John 5:14-15)

7. HAVE A CLEAN AND PURE HEART

“Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour”

(Psalm 15:1-3)
