The Condemnation Breaker Romans 8:1-4NASB

Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. 3 For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

No condemnation. Definition: disapproval , curse, judgement or sentence.

After Jesus’ death, what did all the disciples of Christ have in common? Regret, guilt and condemnation.

You remember the story of the prodigal son. The boy disregarded his father, and then disgraced himself in every way possible.

Dr. Vernon McGee says "Do you know the difference between the son in that pigpen and the pig? The difference is that no pig has ever said to himself, ’I will arise and go to my father.’"

Choose: Right this very second, you can choose right from wrong, the Spirit from sin, the law, or grace through faith.

The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

Testimony: The law of sin and of death.. “Most people who lose weight, still think they’re heavy.” In-fact, studies show, that over 90% of people who had some severe disease cured through surgery, within two years go back to their old lifestyle. (The law of sin and of death- powerful!)

The law of sin and of death. Romans 8:12-14TM So don’t you see that we don’t owe this old do-it-yourself life one red cent. There’s nothing in it for us, nothing at all. The best thing to do is give it a decent burial and get on with your new life. God’s Spirit beckons. There are things to do and places to go!

James 1:15KJ Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

James 1:15TM Lust gets pregnant, and has a baby: sin! Sin grows up to adulthood, and becomes a real killer.

Romans 8:2aNLT And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you...

The law was weak through the flesh. Jesus changed all that, listen to 1 Peter 2:24NLT He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed.

Romans 8:3NLT The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do.

The law couldn’t free mankind; therefore, Jesus became sin. (Jesus became our liberator.)

Listen to Isaiah 53: 7-10aNLT He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth. 8 Unjustly condemned, he was led away. No one cared that he died without descendants, that his life was cut short in midstream. But he was struck down for the rebellion of my people. 9 He had done no wrong and had never deceived anyone. But he was buried like a criminal; he was put in a rich man’s grave.10a But it was the Lord’s good plan to crush him and cause him grief.

Jesus condemned sin through His own flesh. As Jesus cried out, “It is finished.” He condemned sinful flesh through His own death.

Romans 8:4NLT He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.

When Jesus was resurrected from the dead, He paid our sin debt in full.

Romans 8:4b...but instead follow the Spirit.

So what does it mean to follow the Spirit? Follow Jesus Christ, and His mandates. Grace, Love and Peace, which produces prayer!

A waver sits at her loom to fashion a beautiful tapestry. She knows beforehand what her final product will be. But the creative process may take some unexpected turns. When she encounters a mistake, she doesn’t undo her days labor. Instead she utilizes the mistake to enhance her design. The results is a more beautiful weaving than expected.

Isaiah 10:27KJ And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

Isaiah 10:27NLT In that day the Lord will end the bondage of his people. He will break the yoke of slavery and lift it from their shoulders.
