Acts 13:14-39 The Communication of the Church
I. The Preparation of the Gospel (14-16) Paul’s arrival in Antioch.
A. The Synagogue - 14 But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down. - those hungry for truth and seeking it.
B. The Scriptures - 15 after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.
God’s Word prominent in our worship, as well as our witness.
C. The Sermon - 16 Then Paul stood up, and beckoning with his hand said, Men of Israel, and ye that fear God, give audience.
II. The Proclamation of the Gospel (26-37)
A. The Allocation - 26 Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.
The Message was -
Local - children of the stock of Abraham
Vocal - and whosoever among you feareth God (Universal)
Focal - to you is the word of this salvation sent.
Jesus is more than able to save anyone and everyone.
B. The Allegation - 28 And though they found no cause of death in him,
yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain.
C. The Affirmation (28-37) – Paul speaks of:
1. Jesus’ Crucifixion - 28 And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain.
2. Jesus’ Resurrection - 29 And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre.
30 But God raised him from the dead:
3. Jesus’ Perfection - 36 For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption: 37 But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.

III. The Presentation of the Gospel (38-39)
A. Our Salvation - 38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: - what a Man, what a Message, what a Mission.
C.T. Studd - “Some want to live within the sound, Of church or chapel bell;
I want to run a rescue shop, Within a yard of hell.”
B. Our Justification -
39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things,
It's Source - by him,
It's Course - all that believe,
It's Force - are justified from all things,
C. Our Obligation - 39 from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. - Rom 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
1. It reveals salvation clearly - 26 Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.
2. offers salvation freely - Isa 55:1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
3. confers salvation universally - 39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
