II. The Law provides a glimpse of the battles within the human heart!

A. The struggle to love God with your whole heart.

1. You will struggle to love Him with your whole being.

2. You will struggle to offer authentic worship.

3. You will struggle to speak in a way that honors Him.

4. You will struggle to give God your time.

B. The struggle to love God through loving your neighbor.

1. You will struggle with submitting to authority.

2. You will struggle with hostility towards others.

3. You will struggle for sexual purity.

4. You will struggle with personal integrity.

5. You will struggle with honesty.

6. You will struggle with contentment.

C. Jesus sums up our two greatest struggles.

1. Loving the Lord properly.

2. Loving your neighbor properly.

III. The Law provides a glimpse of our need for supernatural help!

A. The need for the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

1. The Israelites promise to obey God.

2. The Israelites worship the golden calf.

B. The need for the ministry of Christ.

1. The Law shows us our flaws.

2. Christ transforms our lives.
