THE BEGINNING OF SORROWS.

Years ago in early ministry, I did a series on the second coming of our Lord. Two ladies came to me and ask me to quit teaching this as it was scaring people. In my ignorance I quit the series. I will go to my grave regretting that.

If I were overseas in the army and I wrote my wife and said: I will be home in a month. She writes back: NO! That would signal me one of two things. #1 she didn’t love me in the first place or she had been unfaithful to me while she was gone.

Revelation 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

WISH WE WERE ALL READY? THE BEGINNING OF SORROWS OR BIRTH PAINS.THERE COMES A COLLAPSE AND CRISIS IN BOTH THE NATURAL, SPIRITUAL AND SOCIAL SYSTEMS. The second coming of Jesus should excite us.

Heart disease is the #1 cause of death. 695,547 deaths a year are attributed to leading cause of death. Seems there is a link to heart disease to obese, overweight people.

Matthew 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

ONE OF THE MAIN ISSUES WITHIN THE CHURCH WILL BE A SPIRIT OF BEING OFFENDED. (NOT THE WORLD, THE CHURCH)

**Offended: CAUSE TO FEEL UPSET, ANNOYED OR RESENTFUL, DISPLEASING. How many discuss hurt from within?

Matthew 24:10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

FEAR AND WORRY WILL DOMINANT TO THE POINT THAT HEART FAILURE DOMINATES.

Luke 21:26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

SCOFFER, DISBELIEF, SCORNFUL, MOCK, RIDICULE, TO DISMISS.

2 Peter 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

DIFFICULT TIMES ARE AHEAD. HARD, PERILOUS, FULL OF DANGER OR RISK. HARD TIMES ARE COMMON. WE MUST DEVELOP COPING SKILLS.

2 Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 Timothy 3:1 (NLT2) You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. Emotional, mental and spiritual problems. Financial setbacks, health issues, employment, relationships, lack of controlling situations, anger, family stress.

AN INCREASE IN FALSE TEACHING THAT DOES NOT ALIGN WITH BIBLICAL STANDARDS.

Matthew 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

FALSE TEACHING, FALSE DOCTRINE THAT DOES NOT ALIGN WITH GOD’S WORDS.

Matthew 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

Matthew 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

HAVE YOU HEARD: WARS , STRIFE AND VIOLENCE FILL OUR LAND.

Matthew 24: 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

THE WORLD IS AT WAR. RIGHT NOW THERE ARE 56 ACTIVE WARS. 183 REGIONAL CONFLICTS. 235,000 PEOPLE WERE KILLED IN A WAR IN 2024. TERRITORIAL DISPUTES, POLITICS, FUNDING.

IF THERE WAS BLACK OR CHINESE PREJUDICE THERE WOULD BE AN OUTCRY. BUT ANTISEMITISM HOSTILITY OR PREJUDICE AGAINST JEWISH PEOPLE IS ACCEPTABLE.

MAY 14, 1948 ISRAEL DECLARED INDEPENDENCE. THERE IS AN ANTISEMITISM SPIRIT OF PURE HATRED AND LATER PERSECUTION DESIRING TO KILL ALL JEWS AND ISRAEL. 2,500 years ago Ezekiel saw nations gathering against Israel.

Ezekiel 38 predicts 1948. God foretold in the later days there will be a major attack against Israel.

Ezekiel 38:5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: 6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.
