The 4 Ds' of the Devil!
John 10:10 (KJV) The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to DESTROY: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
The devil who hates God wants to destroy God's creation and that is you and me. However, Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil.
1 John 3:8 (KJV) He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Here are the 4 Ds' that the enemy of our souls uses to try to destroy us.
I. DISTRACTION: He tries to distract us from doing the Will of God for our lives.
1 Corinthians 7:35 (KJV) And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction.
II. DECEPTION: He tries to deceive us as he was a deceiver and liar from the beginning starting with Mother Eve in the garden.
1 Corinthians 3:18 (KJV) Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
III. DISCOURAGEMENT: The devil tries to tell you that you are not able, not good enough, not worthy, etc. Look what Jesus says in those moments of discouragement.
John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Hebrews 4:16 (KJV) Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
IV. DISCONTENTMENT: Discontentment is a mistrusting of God. Contentment is trusting God implicitly. Thus, discontent is the opposite of faith
Hebrews 13:5 (KJV) Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
