Stupidity: To Grow Or Not To Grow That Is The Question

STUPIDITY: TO GROW OR NOT TO GROW, THAT IS THE QUESTION!

Let us start by asking questions: WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? WHERE ARE YOU NOW? WHERE DO YOU WANT TO BE? HOW WILL WE GET FROM POINT A TO POINT B AND BEYOND? WILL I HOLD MYSELF ACCOUNTABLE AND EVALUATE MY PROGRESS OR LACK OF PROGRESS? ARE WE HONESTLY AWARE OF WHERE I NEED TO INCREASE, IMRPOVE, GROW AND DEVELOP? ARE WE TRAPPED SO MUCH THAT WE AVOID CORRECTION? CORRECTION CAN SEEM PAINFUL AT THE PRESENT TIME. Not correcting ourselves can bring more PAIN and BLAME down the road of life.

Hebrews 12:11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

Hebrews 12:11 (MSG) At the time, discipline isn't much fun. It always feels like it's going against the grain. Later, of course, it pays off handsomely, for it's the well-trained who find themselves mature in their relationship with God.

*DISCIPLINE: To correct, instruct, rebuke, The practice of training to obey the rules, code of behavior, correction, punishment, reward, instruction.

THERE ARE TWO KINDS OF DISCIPLINE. 1. DISCIPLINE BY OTHERS. 2. SELF DISCIPLINE… discipline by others is embarrassing.

IGNORANCE IS NOT KNOWING OR NOT UNDERSTANDING…

STUPIDITY IS KNOWING AND UNDERSTANDING BUT DOING THE WRONG THING ANYWAY…

*STUPIDITY: no common sense, slow, TO KNOW TO DO GOOD AND NOT DO IT… Doing wrong anyway, slow, Behavior that shows a lack of good sense or judgement, unintelligent, little to no understanding, folly, ignorance, foolish, weak minded.

GROWTH PLATE:

We had a son break his finger at school. We rushed him to a specialist. The doctor was very concerned not that it was a bad break but that the break was at what he called the GROWTH PLATE. We learned there are dark lines in X-RAYS they call growth plates. If the growth plate is injured that finger will not grow as the other fingers will. The growth plate is CARTILAGE. As the maturity of growth occurs these soft tissue areas will harden into bones. When mature the GROWTH PLATES will not be dark areas, they will turn into bone. GROWTH PLATES ARE NOT IN ADULTS IN X-RAYS.

The injury to the growth plate has the potential to stop bone growth. This can possibly cause deformity. The average female growth plates close around 14 to 16. In males the growth plates become bone at about 16 to 18.

WHAT CAN A LITTLE STUPIDITY DO TO A FAMILY OR A CHURCH? IGNITOR? SPARK? ONE MATCH?

James 3:2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. 3 Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body. 4 Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. 5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. PARADIGM SHIFT --- GEARS? WE NEED A DIVINE SHIFT TO MOVE OR CHANGE FROM WHERE WE ARE TO WHERE WE NEED TO BE… AS A MAN THINKS? COME AND ACKNOWLEDGE WE NEED TO CHANGE OUR THINKING PATTERNS…

Joseph knew there was a time for 70 of his family to go to Egypt! Moses knew there was a time for God’s people to leave Egypt! Moses, it is time to quit going around this mountain! Naomi and Ruth knew there was a time to leave Moab and head home! John the Baptist knew it was time to prepare for the coming of Christ Jesus! CHANGES!
