Review

We are in out last of two weeks looking at the tabernacle. We have seen so much as we have reviewed God's pattern for worship and entering into the presence of the Lord. Understand our goal is not to have another worship service. Another singing and ritual but to have an encounter with the Lord.

This is each ones goal as we enter into the service. We are not trying to rush through this. Our mission as a church is to Create an atmosphere of worship. In this you see "Worship that Heals, Word that Encourages and a Community that Relates". There is a purpose to what we do.

We want to set you up to have an encounter with a living God who will touch you and change you if you will allow him.

In the tabernacle God has given us a pattern to worship.

Notice this is not about a ritual or religion. Religion is all about what I can do get to God. It is all about my works.

Titus 3:5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,

So it is not about us. Let me just explain to you another thing. Jehovah God did not give us this pattern to give us one more thing that we have to do.

I didn't preach this series to give you one more thing to work on in your life. As I was thinking aobut this message earlier in the week the Lord reminded me about this.

God did not give us this pattern for:

Restrictions but Release

Luke 4:18-19 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, [29] To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; (19) To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord." [30]

This is how we enter into the sanctuary. We enter into this tabernacle with a praise unto the Lord.

Burdens but Blessings

Matthew 11:28-30 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (29) Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. (30) For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

Matthew 11:28-30 MSG "Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. (29) Walk with me and work with me--watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. (30) Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."

Pressure but Peace

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

When you get to the Brazen altar and Brazen laver you see the significance and release.

Rom 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Heb 12:14 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:

Holy Place

Benefits

When you get into the Holy Place the Lord gives you the benefits of being in a relationship with him. As Jesus told the disciples

The Light - Holy Spirit

John 14:16-17 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever-- (17) the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

Showbread

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Incense Prayer

Continual - Romans 12:12, I Thessalonians 4:17

So let us conclude our journy by looking at what is known as the Most Holy Place.

Remember also I told you that Jewish tradition says that the Outer Court was refered to the Way, the Inner Court was referred to the Truth and the Most Holy Place was referred to as the life. This is true life.
