The main point of this sermon is that God is continually working on us, shaping us into the best versions of ourselves, and we should celebrate and trust in His process and promise of completion.
Good morning, church family! Today, I want to talk to you about a journey. Not a journey of miles, but one of faith, transformation, and growth. It's a journey that we're all on, whether we realize it or not. It's the journey of becoming the best possible versions of ourselves, the versions that God has planned for us to be.
You see, God isn't done with any of us yet. No matter where we're at in our lives, no matter how old or young we are, no matter what we've done or haven't done, God is still working on us. We're still under construction. And that's something to celebrate, not just because it means God hasn't given up on us, but because it means He has a plan for us, a plan for completion.
Billy Graham once said, "God never takes away something from your life without replacing it with something better." This statement rings true today, as we dive into our scripture for the day: Philippians 1:6, which says, "Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."
Let's bow our heads in prayer. "Heavenly Father, we thank you for the work you're doing in us. We thank you for your faithfulness and patience, for your boundless love and mercy. As we explore your Word today, open our hearts and minds to understand your plan for us. Help us to trust in your timing, your process, and your promise of completion. In Jesus' name, Amen."
