WHAT HINDERS MAN… GUARD AGAINST BURN OUT, DISAPPONTMENTS AND SICKNESSES.

GOD HAS BEEN VERY GOOD TO STICK WITH MAN… BUT WE MUST REALIZE IT TAKES EFFORTFOR MAN TO STICK WITH GOD.

Proverbs 27:17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

Proverbs 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

JOSEPH WAS RAISED IN A DYSFUNCTIONAL HOME WITH JACOB AND LEAH AND 10 BROTHERS. THEN JACOB HAD A FAVORITE WIFE NAMED RACHEL. RACHEL HAD JOSEPH AND A FEW YEARS LATER RACHEL DIED HAVING JOSEPH’S BROTHER BENIJAMIN.

Jacob played favorites not only with his wife but with his son, JOSEPH.

Genesis 37:3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours.

PROBABLY ONE OF THE GREATEST LESSON OF STICKABILITY IN THE BIBLE WOULD BE JOSEPH. JOSEPH STUCK WITH GOD, GOD STUCK WITH JOSEPH.

Genesis 37:4 And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.

Joseph was faithful through all the NEGATIVE GARBAGE HE FACED. Joseph had a dream that God had a plan for him. Joseph had long, dark nights separated from those that he loved.

• JOSEPH WAS HATED BY 10 BROTHERS.

• JOSEPH’S DREAMS IRRATITED HIS BROTHERS.

• HIS BROTHERS THREW HIM IN A PIT.

• THEY PULLED HIM OUT OF THE PIT AND SOLD HIM TO A SLAVE TRAIN.

• JOSEPH WAS TAKKEN TO THE DREADED EGYPT.

• POTIPHAR WENT TO THE SLAVE SELL AND PURPHASED JOSEPH.

• POTIPHAR’S WIFE FALSELY ACCUSED JOSEPH.

• JOSEPH WAAS PLACE IN A PRISON.

• JOSEPH INTERPETED THE DREAMS OF THE BAKER AND THE BUTCHER.

• THEY FORGOT JOSPEH TO ROT IN THE JAIL…

• THROUGH IT ALL JOSEPH HAD STICKABILY WITH GOD.

JOSEPH HAD A DREAM. HE ALSO HAD A BAD ATTITUDE.

Genesis 37:5 And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.

6 And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed: 7 For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.

JEALOUSY AND BEING A BRAGGRAT AND RUBBING IT IN MADE HIS 10 BROTHERS HATE HIM EVEN MORE.

Genesis 37:5 And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.

6 And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed: 7 For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.

RUB IT IN EVEN MORE. JOSEPH FATHER TRIED TO WARN HIM…

Genesis 37:9 And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me. 10 And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth? 11 And his brethren envied him; but his father observed the saying

JOSEPH’S ENDURANCE WAS BUILT UPON THE FOUNDATION OF GOD FIRST. GOD WAS WITH JOSEPH…

Joseph had to endure with great determination.

Genesis 39:2 And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.

Genesis 39:3 And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand.
