Summary: Living in two worlds.
A. LIVING IN TWO WORLDS

2. “Abide in me, and I in you” (John 15:4).

(1) Destination – Jesus.
(2) Actions – eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12:1-2).

B. DAILY WALKING
“As you have therefore received Christ Jesus as Lord, walk in Him (1 Corinthians 2:6, ELT).
1. What happens when you receive/believe Christ Jesus?
a. Eternal life.
b. New destination.
c. New motivation to please Him and be like Him.
d. To serve and obey Him.
2. Natural boundaries/hinderance to walking:
a. Tired.
b. No direction.
c. Miss direct or wrong turn.
d. Distractions.
e. Mind wanders/loss of concentration.
f. Give up/turn back.
g. People interrupt.
1. Inner temptation. “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world” (1 John 2:15-16).
2. External temptations. “In which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others” (Ephesians 2:2-3).
3. Warnings:
a. “Walk disorderly” (2 Thessalonians 3:6)
b. “Walk in darkness” (1 John 2:11).
c. “Walk after their own lust” (2 Peter 3:3).
d. “Walk in darkness” (1 John 2:11).
C. STANDING IN VICTORY
1. You were crucified/died when Christ died. “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” (Galatians 2:20).
2. You are hidden with Christ in God. “For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God” (Colossians 3:3, NLT).
3. You are made alive with Christ. “That even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)” (Ephesians 2:5, NLT).
4. You have access to the Father. “And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:6, KJV).
5. You are a fellow worker with other believers. “For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building” (1 Corinthians 3:9, KJV).
6. You are joint heirs with Christ. “And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering” (Romans 8:17, NLT).
7. You will live with Christ. “And since we died with Christ, we know we will also live with him” (Romans 6:8, NLT).
8. You will reign with Christ. “This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him, we shall also live with Him. If we endure, we shall also reign with Him” (2 Timothy 2:11-12).
If you have never really accepted Jesus as your personal Savior, would you do it right now? Do not delay or put it off. If you would like to receive Christ by faith, pray this simple prayer in your heart:
Dear Lord, I acknowledge that I am a sinner. I believe Jesus died for my sins on the cross, and rose again the third day. I repent of my sins. By faith I receive the Lord Jesus as my Savior. You promised to save me, and I believe You, because You are God and cannot lie. I believe right now that the Lord Jesus is my personal Savior, and that all my sins are forgiven through His precious blood. I thank You, dear Lord, for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
If you prayed that prayer, God heard you and saved you. I personally want to welcome you to the family of God and rejoice with you.
