Spiritually Bombed? Heavy!

SPIRITUALLY BOMBED? HEAVY? HEAVY? WHY GOD?

The news has revealed this dangerous weapon called CLUSTER BOMBS. Weapons that contain multiple explosives. They can be air dropped or ground launched. Cluster bombs eject explosive devices designed to kill and destroy.

WHY? WHY? YOU HAVE BEEN WEIGHED IN THE BALANCES…

WEIGHED. 1. GOD HAS NUMBERED YOUR DAYS… 2. YOU ARE FINISHED… 3. FOUND WANTING… 4. DIVISION- DIVIDED. There is a spiritual battle in the eternal realm. Instead of CONVICTION, confessing, repenting AND CHANGING… We allow the enemy to work through the spirit of ANGER, OFFENSE AND CONFUSION.

WHY? WE NEED TO REALIZE WE ARE IN A HEATED BATTLE. THIS IS WAR. HAVE YOU EVER TRIED TO SWIM WITH A MILL STONE TIED TO YOUR NECK?

Luke 17:2 It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

HEAVY: BURDENED, BURDENSOME, of great weight, difficult to move, hard to lift.

WHY? SPIRITUAL HEAVINESS: INTENSE NEGATIVITY. Every living person whether a Christian or not goes through SEASONS OF HEAVINESS. A trait of heaviness is a crushing weight of barrenness, little visible fruit, negative circumstances, burdened and spiritual tiredness. The point of EXHAUSTION that can hide the LIGHT OF THE SUN AND THE SON. Jesus clearly states we would have TROUBLE.

THREE KINDS OF TROUBLE: 1. TROUBLE CAUSED BY OUR ETERNAL ENEMY. 2. TROUBLE CAUSED BY OTHER PEOPLE.

3. SELF-INFLICTED TROUBLE… All these result from sin, habits, attitudes, big mouth, anger and depression. There can be a mental or clinical HEAVINESS. Today we are looking at SPIRITUAL HEAVINESS, a HEAVY BURDEN.

SPIRITUAL HEAVINESS RARELY COMES AND KNOCKS ON YOUR FRONT DOOR. IT COMES IN A DISGUISE NOT CLEARLY IDENTIFIED AS WHAT THE MOTIVE REALLY IS: TO STEAL, KILL AND DESTROY.

WHY? SPIRITUAL HEAVINESS TENDS TO BLIND THE EYES OF HOPE AND PEACE. The danger of spiritual heaviness is ISOLATION coupled with ANEMIC APPETITES OF GOD’S HOLY WORD. This gives way to pity parties and the roots of bitterness. Hebrews 12:12-15.

WHY? GOD IS CRYING OUT: WHAT MAKES MY PEOPLE THINK THEY HAVE TO WORK OUT THEIR PROBLEMS? THE ENEMY SAYS: YOU NEED TO FIGURE THIS OUT. GOD’S HEART SAYS: I JUST ASK YOU TO TRUST ME AND TRUST MY PLAN.

WHY?

Luke 18:27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

WHY? WHY IS THIS SO HEAVY? WHY WOULD GOD PROMISE A 100 YEAR OLD MAN A BABY BOY? Why?

WHY? WHY WOULD GOD SPEAK TO A DISOBEDIENT BACKSLIDER PREACHER TO HOLD A REVIVAL? Why?

WHY? WHY WOULD NO ISRAELI TRAINED SOLDIER NOT FIGHT GOLIATH? WHY A LITTLE BOY? Why?

WHY? WHY WOULD MOSES END UP AT THE EDGE OF THE RED SEA? WHY?

WHY DID GOD ALLOW HIS PEOPLE TO RUN OUT OF WATER IN THE DESERT? WHY?

WHY? WHY WOULD GOD SPEAK TO A NON-JEWISH WIDOW FACING DEATH TO FEED THE PREACHER? Why?

WHY? WHY? Why would God speak to a BARREN WOMAN AND TELL HER: SHE WAS GOING TO HAVE A PROPHET? WHY?

WHY? WHY? Why would Jesus speak to a blind man to go to the pool on the other side of town? He can’t see? WHY?

WHY WOULD JESUS NOT GO TO THE WEAK WOMAN WITH THE ISSUE OF BLOOD? TO MAKE HER HAVE TO PRESS THROUGH THE CROWD?

WHY? WHY WOULD JESUS TELL THE MAN WITH THE WITHERED HAND TO PRESS OUT AND EXTEND HIS DEFORMED HAND? WHY?

WHY WOULD JESUS DELAY HIS PRESENCE AND BE 4 DAYS LATE? WHY WOULD JESUS STAND IN A GRAVEYARD AND SAY: LAZARUS COME FORTH? WHY?

WHY? ANSWER ME: WHY WOULD GOD’S PLAN ASK A YOUNG, VIRGIN ISRAELI GIRL TO CARRY HIS SON? WHY?
