Summary: As Christians we must grow each day of our lives.

SPIRITUAL MATURITY

As Christians we must grow each day of our lives.

Growing in our Lord is a gain in the way we live ads to the Lords church.

Colossians 1:9 |

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

1 Corinthians 3:1 |

And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.

1 Corinthians 10:3 |

And did all eat the same spiritual meat;

Ephesians 6:12 |

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

(1) We need to put away childish things.

1 Corinthians 13: 11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

Grow in the Lord .

By prayer

Through the word.

(2) Cultivate understanding.

1 Corinthians 14: 20 Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men.

We are all born in sin.

We all fail the Lord.

Strive to grow in Grace.

Seek the Lords ways not ours.

(3) Striving after Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 4: 11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Not all have the same calling.

We must edify the Son of God.

We need more faith and knowledge of his love and grace.

We need the fullness of Christ in our lives.

(4) Partaking deep truths of the Gospel.

Hebrews 5: 14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

See the good in others

Be able to tell the difference.

You will be able to tell God will show you.

(5) Overcoming temptation.

1John 2: 14 I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

Be strong

Know the Lord in you life

Abide in him in your everyday lives.

Be and over comer.

(6) Be strong.

Ephesians 6: 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

2 Timothy 2: 1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
