2:4 Banqueting house- feasting, protection
Banner flags- protection
1. He never leaves out love
2: 5 Flagons- raisin cakes
Comfort me with apples (oranges)
Sick of love
2:6 Under my head (strength to lift up)
Closeness of his presence
2:7 Daughter of Jerusalem
Do anything to please him
2:8 Voice of my beloved (voice of bridegroom)
Leaping and skipping (happiness)

Little foxes grow big
Jeremiah 17:10, “I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins,
even to give every man according to his ways, and according to
the fruit of his doings.”
Vain glory – bitter feelings
Pride- self-righteousness
Characteristic of the fox or jackal
a) Does not walk upright
b) Hidden under leaves
Noted for friendships with serpents
Foxes are noted for their cunning craftiness
Ezekiel 13:4, “O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts”
Act as dead to lure it’s victim
When caught in a snare- acts as dead
a) The old man does not want to die
b) Cannot be tamed for the Christian life
Imamates the family dog
There are many imitations of God’s people (Matt 7:21-23)

Chapter 3
3:1 He was here, but where is he now
3:2 I sought him but he was gone
Some believe that Christ was going to come but something held him back
3:3 Seeking for him
3:4 Lost, found, and brought home
3:5 when he is close by, do not disturb
3:6 He is ready to take the Bride
3:7 The armies of heaven are about us
3:8 Protection from nightly fears
3:9-10 The best that can be made
Paved with love
3:11 His greatness as he is about to take the Bride

4:1a “Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold , thou art fair; thou hast doves eyes within thy locks”
