Isaiah 40:31
But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint..
What do we need to “Soar like the eagles”?
1. Eat well
Christian diet consists of fresh “meat”, this is the DAILY bread, the word of God.
a. Leviticus 11:8 » You must not eat their meat or touch their carcasses; they are unclean for you.
b. Impurity is what it comes from SIN
Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because
through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.
2) Defeat the enemy?
Many times, the eagle has encounters with his enemy, the Condor.
The Eagle is courageous, but is also SMART, knowing its limitations never fights.
Eagles have only 6-7 foot wing span, the Condor is the largest prey bird of the world up to 12 foot
wing span.
During battle, the eagle do not run, do not go back its nest and never attac its enemy. He flies
directly to the sun, where no other bird can reach.
2 Samuel 22:2-4 "The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in
whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn [a] of my salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge
and my savior— from violent men you save me.
4 I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies.
Nahum 1:7 “The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.
Psalms 140:7
O Sovereign LORD, my strong deliverer, who shields my head in the day of battle.
2 Chronicles 32:7-9 "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the
king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a greater power with us than with him. 8
With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our
battles."
3) Confront the Problem
The Eagle knows how to confront the storm.
The rest of the animals run away when the storm comes, but not the Eagle
In the middle of the store, the eagle looks for the place he saww last the sun,
When the store gets worse, the eagle flies above the store, where the sun dries out its wings, so he
can fly higher.
4) Vision The Eagle has spectacular vision.
At 10,000’ high, the eagle can see a rabit among the trees, and dive at speeds up to 200mph.
Joel 2:28 And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people.Your sons and daughters will
prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.
Genesis 15:1-6 After this, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: "Do not be afraid,
Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward." But Abram said, "O Sovereign LORD, what can
you give me since I remain childless and the one who will inherit my estate is Eliezer of
Damascus?" And Abram said, "You have given me no children; so a servant in my household will
be my heir." 4 Then the word of the LORD came to him: "This man will not be your heir, but a son
coming from your own body will be your heir."
He took him outside and said, "Look up at the heavens and count the stars—if indeed you can
count them." Then he said to him, "So shall your offspring be."
6 Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness
5) The Eagle is an animal of Commitment.
Eagles maintain lifetime relationships.
Psalms 28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped.
My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.
Psalms 52:6-8 The righteous will see and fear; they will laugh at him, saying, "Here now is the
man who did not make God his stronghold but trusted in his great wealth and grew strong by
destroying others!“ But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God's
unfailing love for ever and ever.
6) The Eagle knows where to build.
When they build a nest is for its entire lifespan. They choose a solid and high rock as foundation.
1 Peter 2:24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live
for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.
