Sin: the pathway to the destroyers

And they forsook the LORD, and served Baal and Ashtaroth. And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers that spoiled them, and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies (Judges 2:13-14).

There is nothing that is wasting the life of human beings like sin and there is nothing that is wasting the destiny of many like sin. But many preachers will not tell you that it's sin. They will first of all tell you that it's people, family enemies, witches, gecho, cobweb, generational curses and the likes that is wasting you. Yes, that might be true to some extent but what hand you over to them is sin.

When Israelites sinned, God Himself, and not enemy, sold them into the hand of the enemies to spoil them. The evil people have power over another who is not in Christ or that has gone to sin. You cannot be standing in Christ and you will be experiencing the waster at the sometimes.

Many occasions, instead of people to look inside, what have I done wrong, where have I have missed it but they will be looking outside, pointing finger to one thingummy or thingomabob. Well, many are taught like that that once anything happened to them, it must be enemies, they will be suspecting the bird that is flying, the ants that are passing, the rats in their houses.

What waste and spoil people most is sin, unbelief and ignorance. You don't just believe the promises of God in the Scriptures. You don't just have sound relationship with God because you are too busy and at time sin keep you off. You don't just have time to study the Word of God and to time to spend in prayers, I mean on right prayers not pointless prayers. These are the things that are wasting and spoiling you.

Israel hath cast off the thing that is good: the enemy shall pursue him. I have written to him the great things of my law, but they were counted as a strange thing. (Hosea 8:3,12).

People will always be destroyed and spoiled for lack of knowledge and for rejecting the Worf of God. It's not the knowledge of the devil or enemy as some preach but the knowledge of God Himself, Whom He is, What He can do, and Your unflinching Faith in Him, come rain, come sunshine.

Yes the devil can move against you because you are in Christ. The scriptures say, the affliction and persecution arise for the Word sake and do you know that to solve the affliction and tribulation from the devil, you simply need Faith in the Word. He can move people around you against you even some professed believers may be there, never mind, the devil simply want to frustrate and discourage you, he is a confirmed defeated foe. He can never waste you ultimately because you have overcome the wicked one.

Is it possible for someone to be in Christ and living holy and yet still have affliction, poverty, and other challenges of life? Yes, it is very possible. God may allow it, it may be due to laziness, lack of proper information, and the likes

Job was righteous and God Himself gave testimony of his righteousness but there was an argument between God and Satan about the longstanding righteousness of Job which God allowed the devil to test him for sometime and at the end of the day, Job refused to compromise and held fast to his Faith and won victoriously.

Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him: On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him: But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. My foot hath held his Steps, his Way have I kept, and not declined. Neither have I gone back from the Commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the Words of his mouth more than my necessary food (Job 23:8-12).

Trying time must be a seeking time, time that we must seek God more than ever before, not by jumping from one mountain to another or from one valley to the other, but the time of entering into your chamber with God until His Light dawn again.

Whatever that is wrong, He will make it know and if there is nothing, He will appear certainly for your sake. Hear what He says,

Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him TRUST in the name of the LORD, and STAY upon his God (Isaiah 50:10).
