God gives His Gifts of the Holy Spirit to his people, but if he wants to take the gift away from them, he removes the sharpness of the gift rather than the gift itself. When God removes the sharpness, it is like a dull knife that cannot be used to cut, but instead leaves scars and marks on the item. Today they are lot of people with the Gifts of the Holy Spirit who make marks and scars on people lives rather than accomplishing God’s purpose and plans. A person with gifts who has lost their sharpness causes a lot of confusion to the listeners.

A preacher who was used by God through gifts in the past does not imply that he is used by God through gifts now. In the purity of the preacher's life will gifts thrive or function completely as God intended; otherwise, they will lose their sharpness. When the preacher uses the gifts to make money directly or indirectly, be very careful with them. Though the gift operates sometimes, it can create lot of scars like confusion and wasted years. The work and gifts of the Holy Spirit are pure work of God and should not be associated with money.

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit are irrevocable. However, if people misuse it, God will not take away the gifts, but he can remove the sharpness, causing the impact to fade over time. Many people in this land were moving with the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, but slowly over a period of time since they misused it, the Gifts lost their sharpness and failed to create an impact. If the Gifts in your life have lost the sharpness, then somewhere you have misused it. Plead with God to sharpen the working of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit in your life.

Sharpen in such a way that the working of Gifts will pierce and break even the hardest hearts, restoring the fear of God in this land. This generation has seen many preachers misuse the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, dishonouring God's name. Instead of criticising those preachers, ask God to sharpen the working of Gifts of the Holy Spirit in their life. This generation has yet to see people who are completely possessed by God, moving with all the Gifts of the Holy sharpened by fire in the furnace of God, leading the church back to repentance and God's ways.
