Summary: Have you ever felt that at this time you are done?

Hebrews 12:25-29

Shaken but not moved.

In 1916 miss Hetty Green went down in history as the “America’s Greatest Miser,” yet when she died in 1916, left an estate valued at over $100 million. She ate cold oatmeal because it cost to heat it. Her son had to suffer a leg amputation, because she delayed so long in looking for a free clinic that his case became incurable. She was wealthy, yet she chose to live like a pauper. Eccentric? Certainly! Crazy? Perhaps—but nobody could prove it. She was so foolish that she hastened her own death by bringing on an attack of apoplexy while arguing about the value of drinking skimmed milk! But Hetty Green is an illustration of too many Christian believers today. They have limitless wealth at their disposal, and yet they live like paupers.

This was the kind of Christians the Hebrew writer addressed.

The writer of Hebrews wrote to Jews who were feeling that they are missing something by not observing the Jewish rituals and some were beginning to be discouraged.

The Hebrews writer is exhorting them to stand firm in the faith and live confidently, “you are lacking nothing, in fact you are on a better ground than all of those with rituals and observing certain ceremonies.”

A shake was happening among the believers, they were being harassed by those who observed certain rituals and ceremonies. Sometime we need a shake so we can see how strong the ground we stand.

Everything under the earth will be shaken families, churches, ministries, governments and only those built on the right foundation will survive.

The only kingdom that cannot be shaken is the kingdom of God that is founded on Jesus Christ.

God’s purpose in permitting a worldwide shaking of everything is to demonstrate the things that cannot be shaken.

We are also not exempted from the shaking.

There is always going to be things that are shaking around us

There is always going to be things that will shake us.

There is always going to be uncertainties.

And you will always be hit by the world in different kinds of ways.

Do not be caught in the shaking and lose focus. Hebrews 12:2

All things around us are guaranteed to shake to see the reality of those things which are eternal. Actually this is an encouragement to us.

Unshaken (saleuo) in Greek, that cannot be caused to totter, cannot agitate, cannot be cast down.

Web star dictionary, Unshaken is defined as an able to be weakened.

You are not only going to be shaken but you are going to be weakened.

Look; YOU CANNOT BE SHAKEN FOR THREE REASONS.

You have great privileges, this is mountain Zion. Hebrew 12:14-22

This is not mountain Sinai, this is new. Verse 25 he explain that we have a kingdom that is not moved or shaken and am part of that kingdom.

You have a great God the same God who spoke at Mountain Sinai is the same whose voice shook the earth. He is a consuming.

You have a great responsibility and that is worship.
