Serving God, "The Great Adventure"

You know, it seems like unrest is the thing that we see the most, in the world today.

I mean, either someone is trying to blow up someone, inflict their views on someone,

or threatening to shoot their missiles and cause havoc around the world,

And all the leaders around the world, act like they know what their doing,

But all the commentators on the news shows think differently and have different opinions as to why their ideas could affect a better outcome for all.

And really the only thing that is for sure at the end of each day, is complete chaos, day after day.

Do you remember watching Maxwell Smart when you were a kid?

Agent 86, he worked for control and battled chaos on a daily basis, you know good verses evil.

while it was only a TV show, we can be thankful today, with all the chaos in the world, that God is and will always be in control. Amen?

It makes you wonder, How and Why would anyone, want to go through life without Him?

Matt. 11:25-30 MSG.

25-26. Abruptly Jesus broke into prayer: “Thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth. You’ve concealed your ways from sophisticates and know-it-alls, but spelled them out clearly to ordinary people. Yes, Father, that’s the way you like to work.”

(TBS. the last shall be first and the meek will inherit the earth, so if you don’t feel worthy of everything God has for you this morning, the good news is, you are right where you need to be to receive it)Amen?

27. Jesus resumed talking to the people, but now tenderly. “The Father has given me all these things to do and say. This is a unique Father-Son operation, coming out of Father and Son intimacies and knowledge. No one knows the Son the way the Father does, nor the Father the way the Son does. But I’m not keeping it to myself; I’m ready to go over it line by line with anyone willing to listen.

(TBS. to him who has ears, let him hear, this is one of those verses we should be proclaiming, “I have ears, I’m listening Lord, oh oh, tell me!”)

and Jesus goes on to say,

28-30. “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn to enjoy the unforced rhythms of grace . I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

Chaos, is mans attempt to do everything without God,

That was quite an idea the accuser got going so long ago, That life would be harder with God, than without Him!

Serving God, through a relationship with His Son Jesus is not hard, it’s only assumed hard.

His yoke is easy, His burden is light.

For to long, too many people have made it out to be, that serving God, that it is a burden.

Serving God is anything but that, its an adventure, serving God is the time of your life, if you will let it be.

But you have to walk in His fullness, be willing to let Him do what He does best and that would be everything!

He has provided, perfect provisions for every day, every step of the way.

So many don’t realize that to be a reality in their lives.

They have made life hard, so therefore they think serving God is a hard!

I mean think about it, would you rather try to keep the 10 commandments, which is impossible to do,

Or enjoy the unforced rhythms of grace, unmerited favor and forgiveness that Jesus offers, to anyone who will listen?

Serving God is easy, trying to make Him do it your way, on your terms is what makes it hard. Rpt.

When the children of God were facing Goliath, they spent days trying to figure out a way to defeat him, but to no avail,

fortunately for them, there was one who wondered into camp,

Said what in the world are you doing, saw the situation and said, yes Lord I will listen.

You see, with God its kind of like pushing the easy button,

When you trust Him with the outcome and its all over, you may say to yourself,

“I never would have thought of doing it that way and at the same time thinking how incredibly easy it was, once you let God do what He does best,”

“EVERYTHING!” that’s what God does best?

Now if you’ve never experienced that way of life, which is the way God has had planned all along.
