A House Divided Against Itself Cannot Survive

This morning, I was reading Mark 3:24-25, “A house divided against itself cannot stand.” I did not remember the context in which he said it. I found it in a Collected Works of Abraham Lincoln. I thought about Lincoln’s realization. It seems to me that we are again a divided nation.

The impulse to follow God originates with God, but it’s our responsibility to follow. We are told throughout the Bible that we’re to seek the Lord. As we purpose to follow hard after God, He upholds and strengthens us as seen in the Psalmist description of a deer in search for water.
