Mark 7:24-30 tells a powerful story about a woman who needed a desperate intervention in her life. A woman whose young daughter had an unclean spirit and heard about him. She says, "Have mercy on me, o son of David: for my daughter is grievously vexed with a demon".
1 John 3:8, it tells us, "For this purpose the Son of God was manifested". Now when you read John's gospel in the first chapter it tells us very clearly, "In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God. And nothing was created without him".
