God is sovereign in all circumstances of our lives. God is sovereign in the life of the church. Difficult circumstances are meant to bring us to rely on Him. The answer to difficult circumstances is prayer and reliance on Him, desiring His will come what may.

Obeying God Is Not About The Rules

This isn't about keeping a bunch of rules. We obey Jesus because we love our Heavenly Father, and we know it's not easy. We need each other, because we don't always succeed, sometimes we fail, we give in to our selfish nature, we don't always make the sacrifice.
