Good News And A Warning

Jesus will come again and establish his kingdom. Great news! But when he does, 'one will be taken and the other left.' It's a sombre warning. For one group, the result is death. We need to understand this message to understand why Jesus had to go the cross.

Today we finish up the beatitudes. They all work together-being poor in spirit causes me to have godly sorrow. Being meek allows me to be merciful and thus-a peacemaker. If I hunger and thirst for righteousness I will be pure in heart. All of these are important in dealing with persecution.

I find it so interesting that the boys never ask Jesus teach us HOW TO PRAY? They asked Jesus TEACH US TO PRAY. If we are anemic in prayer all of our spiritual life will be anemic. Lord, teach us to pray.
