Herod's bad decisions, compromise, and pride created a prime situation in which to be taken advantage of and tricked into executing John the Baptist. We can learn from Herod and learn not to be so gullible.
THE EXECUTION OF JOHN THE BAPTIST HAS GOT TO BE ONE OF THE MOST INTRIGUING, TANTALIZING, AND SADISTIC PASSAGES IN THE NEW TESTAMENT. ONE MIGHT EVEN QUESTION HOW THIS PASSAGE OF SCRIPTURE COULD EVEN QUALIFY FOR A SUNDAY SERMON!
