Horn refers to the victory, strength, might of a man. The valour is our God. Jesus is our Horn of salvation. Zechariah was silenced for nine months it was a divine rebuke for his unbelief, but God always turns his rebuke into rewards for those who keep their faith.

Construction workers wear helmets on the job. Firefighters wear helmets. Soldiers in combat wear helmets. The purpose for the helmet is understandable. It is there to protect a very important part of the body, the head. We who are Christians also have helmets that we can and should wear.

Salvation does not originate with us. We cannot redeem ourselves because our sinful nature does not want to acknowledge that God alone is the Author and Provider of our salvation as written in the Scriptures.
