I can’t help but think it was Mother Teresa’s having to suffer the loss of her father, who was murdered when she was a child, that directed her to a life of mercy.

I love this story! It’s a story of incredible, undeserved kindness. We live in a harsh world, and while there are stories of kindness out there, it’s far too uncommon. The world will show kindness to its own, but we are called to show kindness to anyone and everyone, even our enemies. But why?
