Summary: PNP's Core Value is Selfless Love. I remember JESUS who gave Himself to us willingly and no minding of His Self that He's going to live on earth as a man who was GOD and is GOD forevermore.
I. EXORDIUM:
PNP's Core Value is Selfless Love. I remember JESUS who gave Himself to us willingly and no minding of His Self that He's going to live on earth as a man who was GOD and is GOD forevermore.
Romans 5:8 But God shows {and} clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us.
Selfless Love is not what, Selfless is WHO?
Selfless Love is JESUS CHRIST.
II. AUDIENCE PROFILE:
Believers/unbelievers
III. OBJECTIVES:
To require acceptance of the LORD JESUS CHRIST as the Selfless Love Himself - Agape in the Flesh.
IV. TEXT:
Romans 5:8 But God shows {and} clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us.
V. THESIS:
Praise, worship, glorify, adore, bless, honor, acknowledge and thank You very much LORD JESUS for You for you gave us of Yourself that You lived, suffered, was crucified 2000 years ago for us for our healing and salvation and died on the Cross, was raised to life by GOD after 3 days sealing our fate with You as our LORD, MASTER and SAVIOR.
VI. TITLE:
Selfless Love
VII. EXPLICATION:
Epistle to the Romans is the 6th book in the New Testament, written in Corinth at the house of Gaius on 55 A.D by Apostle Paul, Apostle of Grace.
Romans 16:23 Gaius, who is host to me and to the whole church here, greets you. So do Erastus, the city treasurer, and our brother Quartus.
VIII. MAIN BODY:
A. BUT GOD shows His Love - always intervenes in human affairs - you might not notice it JESUS CHRIST is in our midst right now.
Matthew 18:20 For wherever two or three are gathered (drawn together as My followers) in (into) My name, there I AM in the midst of them.
Selfless Love is Agape or Agapao in Greek word.
GOD is Showoff GOD - He always shows His Love around us, He first provides then created us in the Garden of Eden.
Genesis 2:15 And the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and guard {and} keep it.
See JESUS's Selfless Love in the garden during creation of man, He planted a garden first then He created them. He provided first then He created.
B. Selfless Love is JESUS CHRIST.
John 10:17 For this [reason] the Father loves Me, because I lay down My [own] life--to take it back again.
John 10:18 No one takes it away from Me. On the contrary, I lay it down voluntarily. [I put it from Myself.] I am authorized {and} have power to lay it down (to resign it) and I am authorized {and} have power to take it back again. These are the instructions (orders) which I have received [as My charge] from My Father.
JESUS gave His life to useless people - sinners.
Romans 3:23 Since all have sinned and are falling short of the honor {and} glory which God bestows {and} receives.
Romans 6:23 For the wages which sin pays is death, but the [bountiful] free gift of God is eternal life through (in union with) Jesus Christ our Lord.
It concerns ALL of us since ALL of us are SINNERS and as sinners we have to pay the penalty of death. BUT JESUS took it all away from us, He died for the sinners, He died for the sinners, He died for you and me.
Now that is SELFLESS LOVE - JESUS CHRIST.
IX. CONCLUSION:
Let them accept the LORD JESUS CHRIST as LORD and SAVIOR.
Romans 10:9 Because if you acknowledge {and} confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:10 For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) {and} confirms [his] salvation.
2 Corinthians 5:21 For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in {and} through Him we might become [endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness].
1 John 4:17 In this [union and communion with Him] love is brought to completion {and} attains perfection with us, that we may have confidence for the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him], because as He is, so are we in this world.
