THE TESTING TIMES ARE COMING

I. INTRODUCTION TO THE TEST ARE COMING...

A. TEST: TRIALS, TEMPTATIONS, EXAMINATION, trail of a person or things qualities,

try severely, access, appraise,

B. AS GOD'S PEOPLE WE MUST LEARN TO:

1. EXPECT TEST 2. APPRECIATE THE VALUE OF TESTING

3. LEARN TO THRIVE 4. FLOURISH, GROW, UNCREASE IN THIS TIME

C. Why does a tree need deep roots?

What is the purpose of bait in a trap?

D. Times when we are tested usually come all beautiful and pretty, to be desired...

E. There is never anyone that is so good that they are exempt from trials and

temptations...

F. No matter how high and fast you fly from testing's, the enemy seems to find a

forwarding address...

G. Seasons of testing are like the fire that brings impurities out of the gold...

H. God's plan is that seasons of testing will provoke you to LOOK UPWARD...

II. WE MUST FIND JOY WHEN WE ARE TESTED...

THE TEST THAT ARE SURE TO COME, COME FROM THE BATTLE WITHIN...

TESTS FROM WITHOUT ARE EASIER TO DEAL WITH...

James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

[3] Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

James 4:1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence,

even of your lusts that war in your members?

James 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon

your lusts.

Proverbs 27:17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

A. What was it EVE DESIRED? good fruit?

B. David got in trouble when he did not go to battle when he should have... II Sam. 11:1

Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing,

but the flesh is weak.

III. LEARN TO INVITE THE TEST? AND SEE THE PURPOSE AND GOD'S PLAN.

Psalm 26:2 Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.

A. LEARN TO KNOW THE PURPOSE OF THE TEST...

Psalm 139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

[24] And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

B. THE TIMES OF TESTING ARE A CHANCE TO REVEAL AND SHOW GOD'S POWERFUL

HAND... THAT WE ARE GENUINE, REAL, SINCERE, HONEST

IV. GOD MADE SEVERAL PROMISES TO ABRAHAM. ABRAHAM WAS 80, SARAH 70...

THE TEST WAS A DELAY OF 20 YEARS... THEN THE TESTING IS NOT OVER...

A. GOD DID NOT NEED THE TEST, GOD KNEW ABRAHAM, ABRAHAM HAD TO LEARN...

Genesis 22:1 And it came to pass after these things, that God did TESTED Abraham, and

said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.

B. MY FAITH ABRAHAM SPOKE... ABE DID NOT KNOW THE ANSWER...

Genesis 22:8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering:

so they went both of them together.

C. NOW ABRAHAM AND EVERY ONE KNOWS ABE'S PRIORITIES...

Genesis 22:12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him:

for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.

V. MOSES HAD TO LEARN TO TRUST AND RELY GOD...

SISTER MOSES PACKED MOSES LUNCH, MOSES SAID: HONEY, I KNOW THERE IS MORE...

A.AT 40 YEARS TRY TO DO THE WORK IN THE FLESH...

B. AT 80 YEARS OLD MOSES SEES THE BUSH BURN AND NOT CONSUMED...

C. EVERY COMMON BUUSH IS A FLAME, IF YOU SEE YOU WILL TAKE YOUR SHOES OFF...

VI. A DYSFUNTIONAL FAMILY WILL KNOW THE HEAT OF THE TEST...

THERE WAS HURT AND HATRED IN THIS FAMILY, BUT THE DREAMER WILL PASS THE

TEST...

A. WE NEED DREAMERS IN OUR FAMILIES...

Genesis 37:19 And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh.

B. THE TEST MAY COME IN THE MISDT OF STORMS...

Genesis 37:4-5 And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren,

they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.

[5] And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.

C. 13 YEARS THE DREAMER AND HIS DREAM ARE TESTED...

TIME TRIES TO DIM EVERY DREAM... YOU MAY KNOW THE PIT, THE SLAVERY,

THE FALSE ACCUSATIONS, THE JAIL, AND BEING FORGOTTEN ON TOP OF THE

DYSFUNCTIONAL FAMILY.

Genesis 41:14 Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the

dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.

D. JOSEPH WAS 17 AT THE TIME OF THE WELL, 13 YEARS LATER...
