Safety valve
Isaiah 54:17"No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; And every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their vindication is from Me," declares the LORD.”
I just don’t know how that happens but each time I buy a rice cooker, there seems to be a problem with it. Everything would be ok for a while and then one day – BAM- there would be a noise and the pressure would come out through the safety valve with a big noise. When the shop keeper tutored me about the cooker, I was ashamed but I humbly listened to him; however, the safety valve saved me each time the pressure accumulated with no exit. Likewise, no pressure or danger can destroy us, God will give us a safety valve. Clap hands for God!
Now, coming back to the subject, the Lord said, ‘weapon may be formed against you, alright, people may try to attack you but none, I repeat NONE can prosper or destroy you. Say Amen with faith. Hallelujah! That’s word for each one of you today from the desk of Heaven directly! Let us look at this scripture more closely to understand it better:
When I call my mom I would ask her, ‘how are you?’, she would say enthusiastically, ‘all of you are praying and God has commanded his angels to guard me’. I would tell her, ‘mishaps can happen but through it all God would be there with you. Anybody listening? God did not say that He would exempt you from all sufferings but He has promised to be with you. Many of us may wonder, ‘why this suffering, why so much of pain, death and may be you are filled with fear and angst because of this COVID crisis, this word comes to you today: No weapon that is formed against you will prosper!
JEREMIAH: When the Lord sent prophet Jeremiah to prophesy, he was afraid of the rebellious people, the Lord told him: Jeremiah 15:20 " though they fight against you, They will not prevail over you; For I am with you to save you And deliver you," declares the LORD. Did you see that? God will not take the ‘fight’ away but He will help you to win the battle. May be you are going through lot of struggles in your office, home and life, do not be intimidated by the people who come to fight against you , stand firm, God will fight your battles. No weapon that is formed against you will prosper! In the midst of opposition, God will be your protection! Say Amen.
We run a free school for the poor, more than once the main gate of our Abide School was broke open by the thieves, when I saw the place ransacked and the place in utter chaos, my heart sank; nevertheless, not a pin was lost, everything were intact. No weapon that is formed against you will prosper!
If God is for us….
Romans 8:31” If God is for us, who is against us?
Make sure that GOD IS FOR YOU so that the enemy that attack you doesn’t destroy you! Anybody listening?
ELISHA: Horses and chariots and a great army came by night and surrounded the city where Elisha was staying. King of Aram was clearly trembling and shaking at the thought of Jehovah and His prophet Elisha, why then should he come by night with a great army to attack one man? Anybody listening? Sometimes we fail to look at the Big God and His favor upon us and tremble at the silly army of the enemy. When the attendant of the man of God had risen early and gone out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was circling the city. And his servant said to him, "Alas, my master! What shall we do?" ( 2King 6:16) So he answered, "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them." No weapon that is formed against you will prosper!
The word ‘IF’ GOD IS FOR US, demands that we walk in the ways of God and not displease Him. Let not God become your foe, the Lord has given us set of rules and commandments for us to follow, therefore, we need to obey them diligently so that God’s anger doesn’t come upon us. Warning!
GOD REQUIRES OBEDIENCE FROM THE HEART
Deuteronomy 4:29-31. “If . . . you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul. When you are in distress and and all these things have happened to you, then in later days you will return to the LORD your God and obey him. For the LORD your God is a merciful God; He will not abandon or destroy or forget the covenant with your forefathers, which he confirmed to them by oath.”
