Right Foundation

Summary: Many people perish for lack of knowledge. Knowledge plays a very important role in the life of a Child of God. At the same time it is also important for us to know that knowledge puffs up. So zeal with knowledge is very vital for each of us.
Knowledge is very important for any individual. Similarly, in the Kingdom of God also knowledge plays a vital role. Without knowledge we may fail to make it at various instances. James in his epistle also makes it clear that we need to ask God if we lack anything especially wisdom. We will look into a few foundational factors which can build and establish us in His Kingdom.
1. It is rightly mentioned in Hosea 4:6 that many people perish for lack of knowledge. Knowledge with zeal makes a lot of impact and produces results. We need to be on the right foundation in order to see a strong impacting built. Zeal by itself or knowledge alone might not be productive. That is why Paul the Apostle emphasises on the combination of both knowledge and zeal. Scriptural knowledge drives us to an understanding level wherein our faith is fuelled to a large extent in being that individual what God wants us to be. Our base needs to be the Scriptures. We need to develop the habit of verifiying the Scriptures to whatever we hear or read.
2. Author of Scriptures: The writers of the books in the Bible never wrote according to their own will but they were spoken by God, as they were carried along and led by the Spirit of God (2 Peter 1:21). The emphasis is that we be built on the Word of God. Every word mentioned in the Word of God is important. We cannot ignore a few Scriptures or follow only a few. We need to be balanced in the teachings from the Word of God. The Lord Jesus Christ was never controversial. He always taught the right Word.
3. All Scripture is God-breathed: (2 Timothy 3:16). Every single Word written in the Bible has been divinely inspired and breathed by God. The Holy Spirit is the actual author of the Scriptures. The Word of God is a package. The Word is useful for building, equipping, strengthening, encouraging, rebuking and so on as long as it is applied onto our lives.
4. Doers of the Word / The Word is a Mirror: (James 2:23-24) The Word is a Mirror. What do we do with a mirror? We look at ourselves. We look in the mirror and cleanse ourselves if there is any spot that hinders our looks. Smiliarly, the Word of God is a mirror. When we read the Word we refelect ourselves. If there is anything that is not in accordance to the written Scriptures we get rid of it. God is not interested only in the hearers but the doers of His Word. Obedience is doing the Word. It is also stated in 1 Samuel 15:22 that obedience is better han sacrifice. Let us please God through our obedience of the Word.
Please remeber that we could please our God by being obedient to His Word. Even as we initiate the steps mentioned above we will definitely see amazing things coming to pass in our lives. The Word of God needs to be our Foundation so as to ensure we are built upight.
God bless you abundantly !!!
