I. RESISTED PRAYER - 29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings:
1 Peter 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you
The Reality of Persecution - 4:1 As they spake unto the people,
the priests and the captain of the temple and the Sadducees came upon them
The Reason for Persecution - 2 being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.
The Result with the Persecution - 3 And they laid hands on them,
and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.
