1. RELIGION: BECOMES APART OF ONE’S LIFE. SIMPLY PUT, IT IS EXTENSION OF ONES FAITH. OUR FAITH WILL NEVER BECOME SOCIAL,
UNTIL IT BECOMES PERSONAL. “…I BELIEVE THEREFORE I SPOKE…”(ROM.4:13).
A. RELIGION AS WE KNOW IT TODAY HAS BECOME A FAITH “ABOUT” INSTEAD OF
ONE CENTERED IN JESUS
B. THIS IS WHY WE A CONTINUAL RENEWEL OF GOING BACK TO THE ORIGINAL BLUEPRINT OF THE WORD.
2. THE FRUIT OF THIS TYPE OF RELIGION=INSTITUTINAL RELIGION.
A. CHURCHES CAN LOSE ALL RESEMBLANCE TO THE ORININAL CHURCH.
B. THIS LEADS TO IMPERSONAL RELIGION. (IITIM3:5)
C. CYCLES THAT RELITION RUNS IN:
(1. OBLIVIOUSNESS-VERY ZEALOUS AT FIRST.
(2. COMPROMISE-TONE DOWN YOUR PREACHING(ITIM.41-4).
(3. THE “ACTS SAKE”, JONAH SYNDROME, CONCERNED WITH THE BUILDING AS MOST IMPORTANT.
D. THEY QUENCH THE SPIRIT OF GOD (ITHESS.5:19)
*ONE BECOMES LEGALISTIC AND OUTWARD IN THEIR RELIGION. THEY LOSE
IDENTITY-DEATH IS IMMEMIENT.
E. O.T. EXAMPLES:2KINGS 18:4;23:1-20.RESTORATION BRINGS A CLEANSING AND
GIVES VIBRIANT GROWTH TO THE CHURCH.REMEMBER, TRUE PROGRESS IS MADE BY GOING BACK TO THE ORIGINAL FOUNDER. THEREFORE, RESTROATION
IS OUR POWER. (REV.1:3).
